Infinity Coordination & Supports
Short Term Accommodation
Short Term Accommodation (STA), including respite, is support for when you need to live out of home for a short period of time.
Short Term Accommodation provides an opportunity to support you and your carers when you need a break. As well as providing you with a much-needed change, it also helps to give your carers and family members a short break from their caring role to refresh and recharge. The basis of this service is to deliver a positive away-from-home experience for each participant.
Sometimes a short stay away from home:
- Allows you to work on your personal goals and capacity building
- Gives you the chance to try new things
- Can be a place to make new friends or develop new skills
- May help to maintain your current living situation by giving your informal support people a break
Short Term Accommodation may suit you if your usual support network isn’t available for a short period such as if they need to be away or if they become ill. Under the NDIS you may be able to have regular STA funded in your plan.
Support offered during a period of Short Term Accommodation can include:
- Personal care
- Accommodation
- Food
- Activities you and us agree to
- Skill development
Infinity Coordination & Supports has a comfortable and relaxing modern home available for Short Term Accommodation or we can arrange other accommodation options to suit your needs.
